Description

M/V Gallia Graeca II – Commemorative Scarf Naming & Delivery Ceremony
This limited-edition commemorative scarf, with only 80 numbered copies, is offered by Angelakos (Hellas) S.A. on the occasion of the Naming & Delivery Ceremony of the M/V Gallia Graeca II, built at NACKS Shipyard in China. Beyond serving as a keepsake, it acts as a symbolic bridge honoring Greek maritime heritage and connecting Greece, France, and China.

At its center is Dionysus, depicted on Exekias’ kylix (540 BC), while the sails feature the bas-relief by Louis-Ernest Barrias celebrating the founding of Marseille. The design is framed by explorers Pytheas and Euthymenes, alongside symbols of olive and vine, with the border bearing inscriptions in Linear B, Chinese, and Latin.

This scarf was designed in collaboration with the creative team of Angelakos (Hellas) S.A. and is dedicated with gratitude to the ship’s Godmother, to their partners in China, and to all who honor the maritime traditions of Greece and France.
