THE STORY
For Maria Anagnostara, the designer of fine jewellery brand ANMA, eyes are so infinite like the crystal blue waters of the Aegean Sea and a focal point for spiritual growth and intuition. In her jewellery collection ‘Eyes on You’, the ‘mati’, Greek for eye, plays the role of the amulet, a symbol that dates back to 3.300 BC and has been worn as a means of protection against the evil eye for centuries. Studded with diamonds and tourmalines, engraved with a star at its heart, or adorned with Mother of Pearl, onyx or turquoise, ANMA evil eye jewellery give this ancient, protective symbol a modern twist.
Impressed by ANMA’s dazzling jewellery eyes, Elena Zografou, imagined these eyes, transferring their magic powers onto a silk scarf and proposed to Maria a mystical collaboration. With the belief that eyesight is the most important of the five senses and inspired by the blue hues of the gemstones, Elena imagined a silk scarf of entangled eyes and chains that invite the wearer to be transferred to a dreamy landscape above the Greek blue sky.
